SPECIAL NOTICE!!  SAVE THE FOX RIVER!!

Please join Fox River Bed and Breakfast and the Fox River Alliance (FRA) in stopping Ameren, a local electric company, from erecting high voltage power lines on the Fox River from Ottawa to Wedron, Illinois.  The proposed Ameren route is slated to run alongside the Fox River from Ottawa to Wedron, impacting wildlife, 155 homes, the destruction of century-old trees, and the beauty of the Fox River.  Ameren has until January 15, 2010 to submit its side of testimony.  A status hearing has been set by the ICC for January 21, which will determine where to take the case after both sides have been reviewed.

The fight has been on-going for months by volunteers, financed by donations and the volunteers own money.  An account has been created for the FRA at Financial Plus Credit Union, 800 Chestnut St., Ottawa, IL where anyone wanting to donate money to help pay for this crucial endeavor can do so.  For more information, contact Kirk Smith at 815-434-6094 or visit www.foxriveralliance.org or www.ottawadelivered.com
